This recipe scores more than regular recipe because the amount of cheese has been reduced, and the pesto is loaded with fibre with the addition of avocado and oats.


  • Whole Wheat Paste – 2 cups 
  • Avocado – 1 
  • Fresh Basil – 1 cup    
  • Walnuts – ¼ cup 
  • Garlic – 5-6 cloves    
  • Saffola Aura Extra Virgin Olive and Flaxseed Oil – 2 tbsp 
  • Parmesan Cheese – 2 tbsp 
  • Salt to taste    
  • Freshly Cracked Black pepper – ½ tsp    
  • Cherry Tomato – 10-12
  • Asparagus – 5-6 stalks 


How to make Avocado Pesto Pasta

  • Start cooking the pasta as per manufacturer’s instruction.
  • Apart from the cherry tomatoes and asparagus, add all the remaining ingredients in a blender. Blend to make a smooth pesto.
  • Once the pasta is boiled, drain it and mix with the avocado pesto.
  • Mix cherry tomatoes and asparagus.
  • Garnish with some parmesan cheese.
  • Serve hot.
