  • 1 cup whole wheat flour/aata
  • 1/2 cup maida
  • 60g Saffola Plain Oats
  • 40g Saffola Masala Oats Classic Masala
  • 1/2 cup Saffola Oil, heated
  • 1/2 cup ghee, heated
  • 1 teaspoon kasuri methi or 2 teaspoon kalonji
  • 1-1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2-3 tablespoon milk to bind the dough

How to make Baked Wholegrain Oat Mathris

  • Preheat the oven to 200C. Line 2 baking trays with parchment paper
  • Mix all dry ingredients together in a big bowl. Add hot oil and mix in uniformly. Add enough milk to make a firm dough that just binds. Don't knead the dough
  • Take walnut sized pieces and push together to form a traditional mathri shape {or roll and cut into circles with a cookie cutter or katori}. Place on baking tray
  • Repeat with remaining dough
  • Place on a cookie tray at bake for approximately 20 minutes. Turn the tray around once to give it even baking. Keep an eye on them towards the end
  • Cool on trays. Serve with pickle or just like that. Store in an airtight container in a cool place
