Ingredients

  • 1 cup dark chocolate
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 cup olive oil
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1 teaspoon orange zest
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup amaranth flour (Rajgira Atta)
  • 1/2 cup coco powder
  • 1 cup egg white
  • 1 teaspoon tartar powder
  • 1 cup cream
  • 1/2 cup balsamic strawberries ( 1/2 cup strawberry crush)
  • Mint leaves (Pudhina) for garnish
  • Strawberries for garnish

How to make Bittersweet Dark Chocolate Gateau

  • In a mixing bowl add dark chocolate, honey, olive oil, orange juice, orange zest and microwave for 2 mins
  • Stir the mixture well
  • Add egg yolks, vanilla extract, amaranth flour, coco powder and mix them well. Take egg whites in a bowl
  • Add tartar powder and beat them nicely
  • Add the egg white in stages and fold the cake leaving no whites behind
  • Add the cake mixture in a tin container and bake at 170 degrees for about an hour’s time
  • Layer the cake with cream and balsamic strawberries (option 2: strawberry crush)
  • Garnish with mint leaves and fresh strawberries
