Gulab Jamun with Saffola Fruit & Nut Oats

Gulab Jamun Recipe

The gulab jamun is easily the most loved dessert in India  It is made during at almost all special  occasions and festivals. These air fried jamoons are made from the goodness of oats and paneer and dipped in honey to get the sweetness.

    For Gulab Jamuns


    • 100g milk powder
    • 50g all-purpose flour
    • 1 packet Saffola Fruit and Nut Oats Strawberry
    • 50g whole almonds
    • 1 pinch baking soda
    • 50ml low-fat cream
    • 50g paneer, grated


    Sweet Syrup


    • 1 cup water
    • 1/2 cup honey
    • Pinch saffron strands
    • Slivered almonds and saffron to garnish

How to make Gulab Jamun

    • Place the milk powder, flour, baking soda, whole almonds and oats in the bowl of a food processor. Grind until smooth, 1 minute
    • Add the cream and paneer and mix to smooth dough. With oiled hands, make small balls, and toss them lightly oil
    • Air fry in two batches for approximately 10 minutes at 180 C until brown all around {Lightly brush the air fryer mesh with oil and move the balls around gently once halfway through to get even browning. Do keep an eye towards the end to avoid over browning}
    • In the meantime make the sweet syrup
    • Place all ingredients in small pan and simmer for 5-7 minutes
    • Place Gulab Jamuns in a bowl and gently pour the hot syrup over. Allow to stand 30 minutes before serving
    • Garnish with slivered almonds and saffron strands. Serve warm or at room temperature
