Herbed Pesto Sphagetti Recipe

The Herbed Pesto Spaghetti is a twist to the traditional saucy versions of spaghetti that is absolutely simple when you have some homemade pesto ready. The recipe is delicious and simple to make and quick to eat!

    • 500 grams of whole wheat spaghetti pasta
    • 1 teaspoon olive oil
    • 200 grams zucchini, sliced
    • 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
    • 200 grams mushrooms, quartered


    For Pesto


    • 2 cloves of chopped garlic
    • 100 grams spinach
    • 30 grams basil
    • 1 teaspoon black peppercorns
    • 40 grams Saffola veggie twist oats
    • 1 teaspoon olive oil
    • Salt to taste

How to make Herbed Pesto Sphagetti

    • To make the pesto, blend all the ingredients together to a smooth paste. Check the salt and keep aside
    • Cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions and keep aside
    • Heat oil in a wok, add the zucchini, bell pepper and mushrooms and stir-fry them until they are lightly tender and cooked 
    • Once cooked, toss the cooked spaghetti along with the pesto into the vegetables
    • Stir for a few minutes until the pasta gets well coated with the spaghetti. Once done, check the salt and spice levels and adjust to suit your taste
    • Serve warm for dinner along with a crusted bread and soup
