Kadhai Paneer Recipe

Kadhai Paneer It’s a healthy makeover for one of North India’s favourite kadhai stir  fries, a dish that is a quintessential dhaba experience too. Soft chunks of cottage cheese wrapped in a spicy tomato mix. Keep this a stir fry, or find notes at the bottom to make it a gravy.

This recipe scores more than regular recipe because it has low fat paneer and is not deep fried.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cottage cheese / paneer pieces
  • 1 tablespoon Saffola oil  
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon whole coriander seeds, roasted
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili flakes
  • 1 tablespoon ginger garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon kasuri methi
  • 1/2 green capsicum, julienned 
  • 1/2 red bell pepper, julienned
  • 1/2 yellow bell pepper, julienned 
  • 1 tablespoon fresh coriander leaves, chopped 
  • 1 teaspoon salt 
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger strips to garnish

How to make Kadhai Paneer

  • In a pestle and mortar crush the roasted coriander seeds with red chilli flakes
  • Heat oil in a heavy bottom wok / kadhai heat the oil, then add the coriander red chilli mix. Sauté for 5-7 seconds until fragrant, then add the ginger garlic paste
  • Sauté for a minute, then add the tomato puree and chopped tomatoes
  • Sauté on medium heat for 5-7 minutes until the tomatoes get soft and cooked
  • Now add the kasuri methi, mix well, followed by the cottage cheese pieces
  • Season with salt and stir over high flame until the spices coat the cottage cheese pieces
  • Finally, toss in the bell peppers and fresh chopped coriander leaves. Toss well for 2-3 minutes
  • Serve hot garnished with julienned ginger

Note: Increase the tomato puree to 4 tablespoons to make this a 'gravy' dish. You can also add 1 tablespoon low-fat milk towards the end to add creaminess.

Sorry to say ut you have not mentioned Tomato puree and chopped tomatoes in ingredients required list so please add the quantity required

good recipe..but there is no mention of ...

good recipe..but there is no mention of dry spices like turmeric, chilli powder and kasuri methi.
