Ingredients

  • 2 medium pomfrets, sliced
  • 1/2 cup chopped fresh coriander leaves
  • 5-6 garlic cloves
  • 2 green chillies
  • 1 tablespoon scraped coconut
  • 2 teaspoons red chilli powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons tamarind pulp
  • 1 tablespoon cornflour
  • 1 packet Saffola Masala Pepper and Spice Oats
  • Saffola oil for shallow frying

How to make Kerala Fried Fish

  • Combine coriander leaves, garlic, green chilies little water in a grinder jar. Grind till smooth
  • Take the pomfret slices in a bowl. Add the ground paste, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt and tamarind pulp. Mix well. Add cornflour and mix again
  • Spread the oats on a plate.Coat the fish slices with it from both sides
  • Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Place the fish pieces and cook till golden from both the sides
  • Serve hot
