Menaskai is a South Indian delicacy with a well-spiced combination of pineapple, coconut and a whole host of spices for a tummy-popping meal that’s a good source of vitamin C. Menaskai is the best healthy breakfast recipe.

Ingredients

    • 1 tablespoon Saffola oil
    • 8-10 curry leaves
    • 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
    • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds 
    • 2 chilies, dried
    • 1/2 teaspoon hing
    • 1/2 teaspoon haldi powder
    • 1 tablespoon tamarind powder
    • 1 bowl pineapple, chopped
    • 1/2 cup coconut, grated
    • 1 teaspoon paprika powder
    • salt to taste
    • 1 tablespoon jaggery
    • 1 cup water
    • 2 tablespoon coconut milk

How to make Menaskai

    • Heat oil in a pan. Add curry leaves, mustard seeds, sesame seeds, dry red chillies, hing, haldi  powder, tamarind paste and cook for 2 mins
    • Add pineapple and mix well
    • Add coconut, paprika, salt, jaggery, water, coconut milk and mix well
    • Cover the pan and cook for 3-4 mins
