Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons Saffola oil 
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon chopped garlic
  • 1 red bell pepper, chopped
  • 150 gms sliced mushrooms
  • 1 tomato, seeded and chopped
  • 1 carrots, chopped
  • 500 gms ground chicken
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 packet Saffola Masala Oats- Classic Masala
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 1 cup fresh baked beans
  • Lettuce leaves
  • 2 whole wheat buns

How to make Oats & Chicken Burger

 

  • Preheat an oven for medium heat, and lightly oil the tray
  • Heat little Saffola oil in a pan, and sauté the onion and garlic.
  • Then throw in the bell peppers, mushrooms, tomatoes and carrots, and cook to the desired tenderness. Set aside, and allow all vegetables to cool completely
  • In a large bowl, combine the chicken and vegetables. Add the egg, 1 packet of Saffola Masala Oats Classic Masala, bread crumbs and seasonings to taste. Mix all together well and form into 2 to 3 patties
  • Grill the patties over medium heat for 6 – 8 minutes per side, or to desired doneness.
  • Place a lettuce leaf, patty and slice of tomato on a toasted bun, and top it with fresh baked beans
