Oats Paneer Sandwich Dhokla Recipe

Oats Paneer Sandwich Dhokla is a highly nutritious recipe using heart-friendly ingredients like Saffola Masala Oats, low-fat curd, low-fat paneer etc. I have tried to maintain the easy-to-use feature of the Saffola Masala oats, thereby keeping the procedure simple and convenient.

Oats Dhokla Batter


  • 1 packet Saffola pepper & spice masala oats

  • 1 cup semolina

  • 2 cups low-fat curd

  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder

  • 1 tablespoon lime juice

  • 2 green chilies, chopped

  • 2” ginger piece, minced

  • 1 teaspoon coriander leaves

  • 1 tablespoon Saffola oil

  • 1 teaspoon ENO's fruit salt

  • salt to taste


Green Chutney


  • 1 bunch fresh coriander leaves

  • 2 green chillies

  • 1 lime juice

  • salt to taste


Paneer Filling


  • 200 grams paneer

  • 1 teaspoon Saffola oil




  • 2 teaspoon mustard Seed

  • 1/2  teaspoon Saffola oil

  • pinch hing, optional

  • 2-3 green chillies, optional

How to make Oats Paneer Sandwich Dhokla

For Oats Dhokla


  • Empty Saffola Curry-Spice Oats packet and Saffola Pepper-Spice Oats packet in a big bowl

  • To the oats, add the semolina, ginger, green chillies, lime juice, curd, oil and salt. Mix everything together well till the batter looks like idli batter adjust with water if the batter is very thick

  • Then, grease a suitable dish with oil and pour the Oats Dhokla batter. Steam the Oats Dhokla for 20 minutes or till the Dhokla does not stick to the toothpick when tested

  • Allow the Oats Dhokla to rest for 10 minutes or so, then, carefully cut the Oats Dhokla to desired shapes and sizes




  • Grind all the ingredients for green chutney coriander leaves, green chillies, lemon juice and salt. {Can be made ahead}




  • Cut the paneer carefully to match the Oats Dhokla shape and size

  • Lightly toast the paneer pieces on a flat griddle with a drizzle of oil




  • Take a single piece of Oats Dhokla and spread Green Chutney on it

  • Take another piece of Oats Dhokla and spread the Green Chutney on it

  • Place a paneer slice between the Oats Dhokla slices

  • Complete the procedure using all the Oats Dhokla Slice and paneer

  • Heat oil and splutter mustard seeds

  • Garnish the Oats-Paneer Sandwich Dhokla with the mustard seeds, green chilies and chopped coriander leaves
