This recipe scores more than regular recipe since it is packed with protein from paneer, fiber and nutrition from the oat sauce and use of less oil. The original recipe is deep fried

Ingredients

  • 250 grams of paneer, cut in cubes
  • 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup spring onions, chopped
  • 3 teaspoon garlic, finely chopped
  • 2 teaspoons ginger, finely chopped
  • 2 green chilies, finely chopped

  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon tomato ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon red chili sauce (Asian style)
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

How to make Paneer Chili

  • Mix the oats with 1/4 cup of water. Stir in the soya sauce, ketchup, chili sauce and salt into the corn flour mixture
  • Heat oil in a wok or frying pan on high heat; add garlic, ginger, chilies, spring onions and stir-fry for a few seconds. Add the bell peppers and sauce on medium heat until tender
  • Once the peppers are tender, stir in the corn flour mixture to the above and cook for a few minutes until the sauce thickens
  • At this stage stir in the paneer cubes, turn the heat to high and saute for a few minutes until well combined with the sauce
  • Garnish with spring onion leaves and extra green chilies if you like it spicy
  • Serve the Chili Paneer along with other Indo-Chinese Dishes like a Chili Coriander Fried Rice and Roasted Eggplant in Schezwan Sauce

Ms

Confusing recipe. The ingredients list does not say anything about the corn flour but the recipe repeatedly mentions it. Please clarify
