Papad Ki Curry (Subzi) Recipe

Frying just got old-fashioned. Now it’s time to stir up those crunchy papads that provide improved protein and which, quite obviously, are low in fat.

Ingredients

    • 2 teaspoon Saffola oil
    • 1 teaspoon mustard seeds (Rai)
    • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds (Jeera)
    • 1/2 teaspoon asafoetida (Hing)
    • 1 sliced onion
    • 10 black gram papads
    • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder (Haldi)
    • 1 teaspoon coriander powder (Dhania)
    • 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
    • 1 teaspoon garam masala
    • Salt to taste
    • 1 cup curd
    • 1/2 cup water

How to make Papad Ki Curry (Subzi)

    • Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds (rai), cumin seeds (jeera), asafoetida (hing), onions and cook for 2-3 minutes.
    • After the onions get cooked add turmeric powder (haldi), coriander powder (dhania), red chilli powder, garam masala, salt and mix the masalas well.
    • After the masalas get cooked add curd, water and cook for 3-4 minutes.
    • Cut small papads into 4 equal parts and add them to the curry and cook for 2-3 minutes
