Ingredients

  • 15-20 mint leaves (pudhina)
  • 5-6 twigs of coriander
  • 3-4 cloves of garlic
  • 2 green chillies
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds (Jeera)
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tablespoon Saffola oil
  • 2 banana leaves
  • 1 fillet of pomfret

How to make Patra Ni Macchi

  • In a mixer jar add mint leaves, coriander leaves, garlic, green chillies, cumin seeds, lime juice, salt, oil and churn to form a smooth paste
  • Place the fillet of pomfret on two banana leaves. Apply the paste evenly on both sides of the fish. Carefully wrap the fish with the leaves and place it in a steamer vessel
  • Steam the fish for approximately 15-20 mins
