Ingredients

    • 2 colocasia leaves (Arbi ke patte)
    • 1 cup curd
    • 1 tablespoon coriander powder
    • 1 tablespoon garam masala
    • 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
    • Water as needed
    • 2 1/2 tablespoon gram flour (besan)
    • 2 teaspoon Saffola oil
    • 1 teaspoon mustard seeds (rai)
    • 1/4 cup crushed sesame seeds (til)
    • 1/2 teaspoon asafoetida powder (hing)
    • 1 tablespoon jaggery
    • 1 tablespoon tamarind paste

How to make Patra Nu Shaak

    • De-vein colocasia leaves (Arbi ke patte) and chop them into pieces.

     

    To make the Batter:

     

     

    • In a mixing bowl add curd, coriander powder, garam masala, red chilli powder, water, gram flour and mix well.
    • Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds (rai), sesame seeds(til), asafoetida powder (hing) and cook for 1 minute.
    • Add the yogurt mixture to the pan and cook for 1 minute.
    • Add the colocasia leaves (arbi ke patte) and mix it with the curry and cook for 1-2 minutes.
    • Add jaggery, tamarind paste and cook for 1-2 minutes
