Pepper Oats Frittata Recipe

Frittata is an Italian version of omelette that is quite thick and is served cut into wedges. This Fit Foodie Frittata recipe is made with Saffola Masala Oats so you don’t need any bread as well as any flavouring. Only minimal seasoning for the egg mixture will be good enough.

    For the bread layer:


    • 4 slices of whole wheat bread


    For the spinach layer:


    • 2 tablespoon Saffola oil
    • 2 tablespoon chopped garlic
    • 1 bowl of chopped spinach
    • Salt to taste


    For the oats layer:


    • 4 ½ cups of water
    • 3 packets of Saffola Masala Oats Pepper & Spice 


    For the egg later:


    • 6 eggs
    • 1 tablespoon chopped garlic
    • 2 tablespoon black pepper powder
    • 2 tablespoon Italian spice mix
    • 1/2 cup grated Paneer
    • Salt to taste

How to make Pepper Oats Frittata

    • On a chopping board, cut the bread slices into 4 pieces.
    • Align these pieces of bread in a baking tray and set aside.
    • Heat Saffola Oil in a pan. Add chopped garlic, chopped spinach leaves and salt. Mix the ingredients well and cook for about 2 mins.
    • Once cooked, add the spinach mixture on top of the bread layer in the baking tray and set aside.
    • Heat water in another pan. Add 3 packets Saffola Masala Oats Pepper and Spice and cook for about 3 mins.
    • Top the layer of the bread and spinach mixture with a layer of the cooked oats mixture and set aside.
    • Crack the eggs in a bowl. Add garlic, black pepper powder, Italian spices and grated paneer. Whisk the mixture well.
    • Top the oats mixture with the spiced egg mix.
    • Bake in a pre-heated oven at 180 deg C for 25 mins.
    • Serve Hot!
