Peppy Tomato Oats Penne Pasta in Pink Sauce Recipe

Ingredients

  • 200 grams whole wheat penne pasta (cooked)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Saffola oil
  • 1/4 onion, diced
  • 1/2 clove garlic, minced
  • 4 tablespoon tomato puree
  • 1 basil leaf
  •  1/8 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper

 

For Oats Puree

 

  • 1 Packet Saffola masala peppy tomato oats
  • 200 ml low-fat milk

How to make Peppy Tomato Oats Penne Pasta in Pink Sauce

For Cooking Penne Pasta

 

  • Bring a pot of water to boil. Add penne pasta and let it boil for 15 minutes. To check whether the pasta is cooked, cut a piece and check if there is a thin white line in the center; which is called al-dente

 

For Oats Puree

 

  • Combine Saffola Masala peppy tomato oats and milk to cook for 3-5 minutes
  • Blend together to make a creamy puree

 

For Pink Sauce

 

  • In a saucepan, sauté onion and garlic in olive oil over medium heat. Make sure it doesn't burn
  • Add tomato puree, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil and continue for more 5 minutes or until most of the liquid evaporates
  • Stir in oats puree 
  • Reduce heat and simmer for 5 more minutes
  • Toss the sauce with penne, garnish with basil leaves and serve

The reaction was OH MY GOD! . Sorry to say i didn't add oregano but without that taste is awesome too. And at last main thing is that it is easy healthy . Before knowing this dish we simply made saffola oats and very very normal pasta but after that simply saying i'm lovin it
