Kebabs are originally a Middle Eastern, Eastern Mediterranean, and South Asian dish. At Fit Foodie, we have completely transformed the original dish into something very interesting with ingredients such as Oats, Pumpkin and Pistachios.

  • 2 Packet Saffola Classic Masala Oats     
  • 1/2 cup gram dal, soaked                      
  • 150g red pumpkin, blanched and mashed
  • 20g pistachios, (non-salted) 
  • 30g Llow-fat Cottage cheese, grated 
  • 5g ginger, chopped
  • 3g green chilies, chopped
  • 5g coriander, chopped       
  • 2 pinch garam masala powder
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tablespoon Saffola Oil                                    
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice           


For Garnishing


  • 20-25 raw pumpkins seeds (magaj) 

How to make Pumpkin Pistachio Oats Kebabs

  • Roast the Saffola Masala oats for 2 minutes without using oil. Crush it in fingers and put it into a bowl
  • Boil the gram dal, mash it with hand and mix it with masala oats. Put the grated pumpkin after making it moist free
  • Saute the ginger, chilli and powdered masala in minimum oil till it sweats
  • Mix together all the ingredients
  • Adjust seasoning and shape into tikkis stuffing with cheese
  • Garnish the tikki with the raw pumpkin magaj (seeds)
  • Grill or cook  them on a medium hot non-stick skillet
  • Serve hot with green chutney
