Ingredients

  • 1/3 tbsp Saffola oil
  • 1 Pkt Classic Masala SMO
  • 1/8 tsp cumin seeds
  • 50 gm chopped onions
  • 1/4 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1/8 cup tomato puree
  • 1/4 tsp clove powder
  • 1 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/4 tbsp coriander-cumin powder
  • 1/3 tsp chilli powder
  • 1/4 tbsp garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • 40 gms boiled sprouts
  • 1/2 tbsp chopped coriander

  • 30 gm roasted plain oats
  • 20 gms finely chopped onions
  • 1 pc lemon wedges
  • 2 whole wheat pavs

How to make Saffola Classic Masala Oats Misal Pav

For the misal

 

  • Heat the oil in a kadhai and add the cumin seeds.
  • When the seeds crackle, add the onions and ginger-garlic paste and sauté on a medium flame for 4 to 5 minutes.
  • Add the tomato purée, clove powder, cinnamon powder, turmeric powder, coriander-cumin seeds powder, chilli powder, garam masala, salt and ¼ cup of water mix well and simmer for 5 to 7 minutes, while stirring continuously.
  • Add the SMO oats, mixed sprouts, ¾ cup of water and coriander, mix well and simmer for another 2 minutes, while stirring continuously.
  • Place ¼th of the masala on a small plate, top with ¼th of the missal, Roasted crisp oats and ¼ cup of onions evenly over it.
  • Serve immediately with 2 pavs and a lemon wedge.
