Spinach and Paneer Daliya Pulao Recipe

 Healthier pulao to be made with Dalia instead of rice and low-fat paneer.

Ingredients

    • 1/4th cup daliya, soaked
    • 1 clove
    • 2-3 peppercorns
    • 1/2 bay leaf
    • 1/4th stick cinnamon stick
    • pinch of cumin seeds
    • 1/2 onion, sliced
    • 1/2 carrot, chopped
    • 1/3 cup spinach, blanched & chopped
    • 50 grams paneer
    • few peas
    • salt to taste
    • 1 teaspoon Saffola oil

How to make Spinach and Paneer Daliya Pulao

    • Heat oil in a vessel, add the cloves, peppercorns, cumin seeds, cinnamon and bay leaf and sauté till they begin to change color
    • Add onions and sauté till light pink. Then, add carrots, spinach, soya paneer and salt and cook for 2-3 minutes
    • Add the dalia, mix well and add 1 cup water and cook till done
    • Serve hot with raita or chutney
