Steamed Chhena Cake Recipe

Have your sweet-tooth pampered South Indian style with the nutty and highly flavoured Steamed Chhena Cake that smears in protein & calcium in every slice.

    • 1 1/2 cup curd cheese (chenna)
    • 1/2 cup cashew nut paste
    • 2 tablespoon honey
    • 1 tablespoon saffron water
    • 1 teaspoon cardamom powder
    • 10-12 raisins, chopped 
    • 1 tablespoon pistachios
    • 1 tablespoon Saffola oil

How to make Steamed Chhena Cake

    • In a mixing bowl add curd cheese (chenna), cashew nut paste, honey, saffron water, cardamom powder, raisins, pistachios and mix well
    • Add Saffola oil to the mixture and mix it well
    • Add the curd cheese mixture in a mould and place it over a banana leaf and cover it with a banana leaf and wrap it nicely
    • Place the chenna cake in a steamer and steam for about 10-12 minutes
